(A average) - 3 month study abroad at Nihon University in Mishima, Japan, living with a host family. - Taken JPN 111 through 312, as well as the Japanese literature courses offered and JPN 426 [Structure of Japanese] (An upper devision course, taught in Japanese, looking at the language from a linguistic standpoint) - Interned as a tutor for beginner Japanese 111 and 112 students in the fall semester of 2010 - Privately tutors student in Japanese, of varying levels, off campus. -Volunteered as a speaking partner for international students. -Will be a teaching assistant for the Japanese language students in the fall semester of '11.
