I am an experienced tutor who is enthusiastic about test prep. I love helping students prepare for standardized tests like the ACT and SAT, and I specialize working on the grammar, composition, and comprehension sections of these exams. While standardized tests are where my expertise lies, I'm also available to help students in a variety of other subjects like reading, literature, history, social sciences, social studies, and more. I received my Bachelor of Science in Anthropology and Journalism at Boston University. During my time in school I tutored students in middle school through college. After I completed university I traveled to Beijing, China where I worked with students on English language arts and standardized test preparation. I've also worked for a variety of newspapers where I honed my writing skills and developed my passion for teaching writing. I bring the real world writing skills that I learned as a journalist to my tutoring. It is a privilege to help students grow and develop as writers. When I'm not tutoring I love reading contemporary fiction, and I'm also passionate about journalism and music. I play both the guitar and the piano. I also enjoy being active and I like to cycle.
