Experience
I have tutored math to elementary and middle school students in high school. Specifically, I've prepared them for math competitions such as Mathcounts and AMC8. I have also helped friends and acquaintances in high school through any confusions they might have had. My SAT score overall was a 2190 and my SAT math score was an 800. I want to be a tutor because not only does it allow me to go over my basic skills, but it also allows me to pass on my knowledge to another group of people. Nothing makes me happier and/or more prideful than when my student can understand and apply the things he learned. While I have not taken any official class to learn how to teach, I do believe that my experience makes up for that.

Hobbies
I love reading! Although the time I have to read has significantly decreased, I cannot go a week without reading at LEAST one book (many times one is not enough). I read pretty much any fiction novel, though I tend to prefer novels that have strong female characters in them. Also, I love puzzles. It can be a 1000 piece puzzle or a riddle; anything that works my brain and makes me think outside of the box I love to solve. While I am mainly an inside person, I do like to take leisurely walks around the neighborhood/campus when I have time. These walks calm me down and seem to lessen any pressures I might have had from the day. I usually walk where there are a lot of trees and flowers. The more nature, the better!
